The story behind East Colfax Statuary

Our roots in the East Colfax neighborhood run deep—our family has called this community home for five generations. We founded this business in 2022 out of a practical need: we wanted high-quality concrete statues for our own garden but found it difficult to find well-crafted, affordable options locally. We decided to bridge that gap ourselves. We started with a bear, a hedgehog, and an owl, and have now expanded to well over 100 statues that we make.

We remain a full family operation. Our two adult children help with pouring, painting, and transporting statues. We have also expanded to include Granny’s Goose Haberdashery. This specialized arm of our business features handmade outfits for our porch geese, all sewn by our children’s grandmother.

We named the Haberdashery in honor of our grandmother, AKA Granny to all who knew her, who lived the majority of her 97 years on the same street in East Colfax. She was a true spitfire—spunky, fiercely independent, and full of life—and we strive to bring that same spirited energy to our work.

Our Shelties, Harley and Ivy, round out the team. Harley serves as our official "inspector," ensuring every piece is up to standard, while Ivy supervises the yard from a comfortable distance.

At East Colfax Statuary, we prioritize longevity. Unlike mass-produced resin or plastic alternatives, our concrete statues are cast to withstand the full range of Colorado’s seasons—from intense summer sun to heavy winter snow.
